Surgical Approach
Choose the arc and irregularities of the nasal bone that suits you to carve the artificial nasal bone into a suitable arc, height, and length an implant it in the nose (above nasal bone or below periosteum).
♦The silicone artificial nasal bone can be divided into two types: L type and I type

| The L-shape covers the radix, nose tip, and nasal septum, able to make a larger extent of nose shape change. The L type is more popular in Taiwan. | The I type only covers the radix and the nose bridge. One disadvantage is that it cannot drastically change the shape of the nose other than elevating the radix. |

Precautions
| 1.The artificial nasal bone is a foreign body for the body and adds tension to the skin. An improperly designed nasal bone sometimes pierces through the skin at the nose tip. |
| 2.The facial bone structure changes with time, causing the originally fitting artificial nasal bone to bend or deform several years later due to excessive tension, thus the need for secondary rhinoplasty surgery. |
| 3.Please follow the surgeon’s instructions for medication and wound care. |
| 4.The 3M tape fixation after surgery is to help mold the nose and pressure the nose to facilitate swelling reduction. |
| 5.There may be nose swelling after surgery. Some people may experience bruises due to the outflow of flood and tissue fluid to the cheeks and below the eyes. Hence the nose appears most swollen on the second day. It is recommended that continuous cold press be applied for 5-7 days. |
| 6.Refrain from drinking for one month after surgery (including sesame chicken and medicinal chicken) to avoid nose reddening and even nose inflammation. |
| 7.Refrain from smoking after surgery to reduce chances of wound infection and facilitate nose wound and scar recovery. |
| 8.Nose swelling after surgery is normal. Please continue to apply cold press. In case of redness, swelling, heat, pain, secretions, or continuous bleeding, return to the clinic for further assessment by the surgeon. |
| 9.Do not sleep on the stomach within one week after surgery to avoid pressuring the nose. In addition, do not wear glasses to avoid pressuring the root of the nose. |
| 10.Do not clean white heads (use tweezers to pull them instead of squeezing them), pinch, or rub the nose or engage in strenuous exercise (such as playing basketball) until on month after the nose has been molded. |

11.Those with infections, rejection, or special physical constitution (delayed inflammation), a break for 3-6 months (preferably six months as it is the surgical wound scar stability period) is recommended before undergoing surgery again. Use anti-inflammatory drug therapy and apply cold press within one week after surgery. Disinfect the wound site daily using Betadine for one to two weeks after surgery and apply ointment. |

12.Possible complications arising from rhinoplasty include: hematoma, injection, rejection, crooked nose mode, shaking nasal membrane, and other issues. As for whether or not the nasal membrane is too high or too low, whether or not the ala is tall enough, and whether or not the nose is too long or too short, it is recommended that periodic re-visits be made for 6-month observation before deciding to undergo surgery again. |

Ｑ：What is the endonasal rhinoplasty repair time? Is the incision obvious?
Ａ：It only requires an incision inside the nose for placement. The nose shape is evaluated according to the aesthetic ratio. During surgery, the opening is hidden in the nostril hair. Therefore, there is no obvious external scar, and the nose will appear natural and tall after one or two weeks when the swelling subsides.
