Compared to conventional plastic surgery, endoscopic plastic surgery has advantages of small wounds, fast recovery, less bleeding, and short recovery period. Hence, this plastic surgery has spread in the United States and Asian countries in recent years. Nowadays, more than 50% of plastic surgeries are completed through endoscopic plastic surgery. However, early endoscopic plastic surgery is not completely without drawbacks. Instruments used for early endoscopic plastic surgery have a straight-line design, which means the instruments have no curves and angles. When using such instruments for skull bone, cheekbones, and chin surgery, there are concerns that other facial nerves in other parts may be accidentally harmed.

To address this potential risk, I developed years ago a set of six surgical instruments that come in different shapes and arcs using my 20 years of experience in plastic surgery and taking into account the angles of the human skull bone and bones to minimize risks involved during the surgical procedure of endoscopic plastic surgery, thereby perfecting endoscopic plastic surgery.

I first requested Taiwanese vendors to take molds of instruments exclusively used in endoscopic plastic surgery and then sent them to Germany for production. Instrument grips and steel made using local materials in Germany not only possess good rigidity and toughness, but also show considerably good quality and durability. Using endoscopic plastic surgery, surgical risks can be significantly reduced. This is a kind of guarantee as far as surgery and patients undergoing surgery are concerned.

Superintendent Wu Rong’s endoscopic stripping instrument is especially designed to suit Asian skull angles, thus enhancing the effectiveness of endoscopic lift surgery. Superintendent Wu Rong recorded the surgical procedure into a CD to enable surgeons to understand the surgical procedure more clearly.

Plastic surgery is considered a service industry, while endoscopic plastic surgery is indeed an advanced and safe procedure. Instead of self-centeredly shutting doors to research, I rather share my experience and accomplishment in this field with more people in the same line of work, teach them how to perfect endoscopic plastic surgery, and improve the quality of this surgical procedure through concerted efforts. On the other hand, the general public who wish to undergo plastic surgery will also better understand and accept endoscopic plastic surgery.
