Application Features

Biotherm Blue IPL is a type of photoelectric milder than laser. With a wavelength of 560nm~1200nm, its principle is to expose the skin to stable and continuous square waves outputted through a combination of light with different wavelengths, thus the more extensive treatment areas compared to laser. Its use in human treatment results in no ulcer or injury. The parameters can be precisely adjusted depending on the skin type of the individual. Therefore, pigmentation vasodilation, aging related skin problems, and hair removal can all be treated at once. It also activates the cells and purifies the skin, restoring youthfulness and radiant skin in no time.

Biotherm Blue IPL has an extra large treatment area (15mmx45mm) and contact-style sapphire cooling system.

◎It rapidly reduces epidermal temperature and pain. Only slight warmth is felt, thus the enhanced comfort.

◎It achieves speedier treatment, thus shortening the treatment time.

Efficacy

IPL can be used in rejuvenation treatment. IPL of different wavelengths can achieve different therapeutic results. The scope of treatment includes pigment and spot lightening. The photothermal energy can stimulate collagen regeneration, thus achieving firming and de-wrinkling results, enhance skin elasticity and radiance, treating vasodilation, and achieve permanent hair removal.

Intense Pulse light (IPL) De-wrinkling Mechanism:

Through fibroblasts’ property of absorbing strong IPL and converting lighting energy into thermal energy, they are stimulated and activated, while collagen fibers I and III can be regenerated, thereby firming the skin from inside to outside, enchaining elasticity, removing fine lines, and defy the traces of aging.

Intense Pulse light (IPL) De-wrinkling Mechanism Spot Removal Mechanism

Through pigment spots’ property of absorbing strong IPL and converting light energy into thermal energy and shock waves, the pigment spots can be disinterred, making it easy for macrophages to engulf and remove aggregated pigments, thus removing superficial spots, such as sun spots, freckles, and age spots and brining back the clean and flawless face.

Intense Pulse light (IPL) De-wrinkling Mechanism for Treating Vascular Lesions

Through pigment spots’ property of absorbing strong IPL and converting light energy into thermal energy, the capillart walls with lesions will shrink due to heat and block blood supply, thus restoring the even color tone.

Treatment Process

The skin activating and rejuvenating action of Biotherm Blue IPL can achieve obvious improvement after competing 5-7 consecutive sessions at 3-week intervals. There is no recovery period, and each session only takes about 20-30 minutes. Pain index: Due to the larger Biotehrm Blue IPL probe area, the pain index is only slight heat, which differs greatly from conventional procedures as far as the degree of pain is concerned.

Treatment Time and Interval

The time varies according to scope of treatment. Each session (preoperative and postoperative) is about 40-60 minutes. Therapy sessions are usually conducted 3-4 times every week, 5-6 sessions in total. The doctor will provide recommendations according to the skin condition of individuals after an assessment.

Suitable Targets

1.Pigmentation problem: It lightens spots and pigment scars and promotes melanin metabolism.

2.Skin dullness problems: uneven sallowness; it enhances skin brightness.

3.Firmness problems: It can stimulate collagen and elastic fiber regeneration and enhance skin elasticity and firmness.

4.With superficial vascular lesion problems: Lighten acne pigments (red, dark red) and improve microrvascular expansion.

5.Those who wish to achieve permanent hair removal and get rid of hairy hands and legs.

Precautions

1. Strengthen moisturizing and repair and sunscreen. Avoid direct sun exposure and reduce outdoor activity.

2.Do not perform exfoliation before surgery and two weeks after surgery. Do not apply whitening products (LC. Arbutin, etc.), acid products (A acid, AHA, salicylic acid, etc.), and skincare products containing irritating ingredients (alcoholic ingredients).

3.Avoid heat stimulus two weeks after surgery, such as sauna, oven, stem room, hot spring, face washing using hot water, etc.

4.In case there is scaring, there will be slight itchiness, which is a normal phenomenon of epidermal regeneration. Do not scratch it and avoid forcefully peeling it. Wait for the skin to heal it self, and the skin will peel off naturally. If the skin becomes slightly rosy, strengthen moisturizing and sunscreen to avoid pigmentation and darkening.

5.Do nose use skincare products or drugs not prescribed by the doctor during treatment period.

◆Contraindication◆Please consult the surgeon before undergoing treatment.

1.Women that are pregnant or are planning pregnancy.

2.Those who apply acids or whitening products before surgery.

3.There is a viral infection at the treatment site.

4.Those with allergic skin, light-sensitive skin or taking light-sensitive drugs (such as A acid).

5.Those with skin lesions or immune system anomalies (such as: Lupus erythematosus) .

Q&A

Q:Is Intense Pulse Light (IPL) treatment painful?

A:There may be accompanying tingling sensation or slight heat during IPL treatment. The sensation is similar to being flicked by a rubber brand, but it will disappear after treatment.

Q:Does IPL treatment cause a wound?

A:No wound is produced when proper IPL is applied; therefore, wound care is not required and there is no recovery period. After IPL is administered, the skin may show slight redness, but the redness will usually disappear 30 minutes after treatment. Makeup can be applied immediately after surgery, and work may be resumed.

Q:Can results be seen after just one IPL therapy session, or are multiple sessions needed?

A:No laser treatment can resolve problems at once. IPL is a mild and safe laser model; therefore, it is impossible to complete therapy in just one session. In general, specific results can be achieved after each session, but it is recommended that five sessions be completed at intervals of three to four weeks to achieve more obvious results.
